Grexy Privacy Policy

Grexy is built first and foremost for urban explorers who value their privacy as much as they value the tiny, magical unplanned moments of city walks. We designed every feature of this app to prioritize your control over your own memories - no hidden tracking, no unnecessary data collection, no algorithmic snooping into your exploration habits.

This policy outlines exactly what data we collect (very little!), how we use it, and how you remain in full control of every piece of content you save in your digital scrapbook.

Our Core Privacy Promise

• We have zero GPS integrations, zero location permission requests, and we will never automatically collect data about where you are exploring. All spot names, locations, and details are entered manually by you, exactly as you choose to record them.
• We do not run any hidden user behavior tracking tools. There are no algorithms analyzing your saved spots to serve you ads or recommend content. Your exploration habits stay entirely on your device unless you choose to share them.
• Your scrapbook content belongs to you, full stop. We will never sell, rent, or reuse your photos, spot names, tags, or memories for any commercial purpose without your explicit written consent.

What Data We Do Collect (And It's Very Little)

We only collect data that you explicitly choose to share with us:

1. Local App Content (Stored only on your device by default)

All 4:3 street view photos, custom spot names, tags, favorite corner lists, and timeline entries you create are saved locally on your personal device by default. We do not have access to this content unless you voluntarily choose to back it up to our optional cloud sync service.

2. Optional Cloud Sync Account Data

If you choose to create an account to sync your scrapbook across multiple devices, we only collect the email address and password hash you provide during sign up. We do not require any additional personal information to use this feature.

3. Voluntary Support Communication

If you reach out to our support team for help, we will collect only the contact information and details you share with us in that conversation, solely to resolve your request.

How We Use Your Data

• All core app features (timeline sorting, tag filtering, random memory review, entry editing) run entirely on your local device, no data is sent to our servers for these functions to work.
• If you use optional cloud sync, we only use your account data to securely store and sync your scrapbook content across your devices. We do not access or view your private content for any other purpose.
• We will never use your content to train artificial intelligence models, create marketing materials, or serve you targeted advertising of any kind.

Your Full Control Over Your Data

You have complete authority over all content you save in Grexy, at all times:

• You can edit, rename, retag, or delete any individual entry in your scrapbook at any time, with no restrictions.
• You can export your entire scrapbook collection as a zip file of photos and metadata directly from the app whenever you choose.
• You can delete all local app data from your device in one tap, and if you have a cloud sync account, you can request permanent deletion of all your stored data and account information at any time, with no residual copies kept on our servers.

Third Party Data Sharing

We do not share any of your personal data or scrapbook content with third parties, except in the very limited following cases:

• When we are required to comply with applicable mandatory legal rules or valid legal processes.
• When you explicitly choose to share individual scrapbook entries directly with other people via the app's share feature, in which case only the content you select is shared to the recipient you choose.

Grexy contains no third party advertising SDKs, no third party analytics trackers, and no hidden data sharing tools of any kind.

Data Security

All optional cloud synced content is encrypted both in transit and at rest using industry standard encryption protocols. We maintain strict security safeguards to protect your stored data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. For content stored locally on your device, security is managed by your device's built in security settings.

Policy Updates

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will notify all users via an in-app announcement at least 30 days before the updated policy takes effect. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may delete all your data and discontinue use of the app before the new policy becomes active.
